Aleena Nadeem Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Recognition
Aleena Nadeem has earned a place on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list for her work in education finance. The recognition celebrates her efforts to make higher education more affordable in Pakistan. As the founder of EduFi, she introduced a model that allows students to pay tuition in monthly installments instead of large upfront fees. Her approach is helping families manage education costs with more flexibility.
EduFi operates under the motto “Study Now, Pay Later.” The company is based in Lahore and launched its pilot in 2021. Since then, it has partnered with 27 colleges across Pakistan. Within six months, the platform doubled its reach. The model addresses a real problem for students who struggle to pay lump sum tuition fees at the start of each semester.
Before launching EduFi, Aleena Nadeem graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and worked at global firms including McKinsey & Company and Goldman Sachs. Her experience helped her raise $6.1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Zayn VC, the largest pre-seed round in Pakistan’s startup ecosystem at the time. Aleena Nadeem Forbes 30 Under 30 recognition reflects her growing impact on education finance and her role in expanding access to higher education.
