Angelika Sharygina Leads the Fight for Truth
Angelika Sharygina is an experienced political consultant and scholar who has recently focused on artificial intelligence and humanitarianism among academics. Having worked in conflict areas for more than ten years, she mainly focuses on disinformation, with an emphasis on the regions experiencing armed conflicts. Her real-life situation could be attributed to war, and this makes her to work tediously in order to come up with the solutions that could help to bring about more of peace in this world. She is currently doing her studies at Kings College London wherein she majors in interventions that can reduce conflict and promote peace.
Angelika is also an academic whose contributions transcend borders, working at the Trępel Lab, Trinity College Dublin as a doctoral candidate. Here, the focus is on discovering the effects of fake news and false information regarding conflict and war and coming up with unique ways to solve the problem of fake news to come up with more open ways to get information. Because of the mixture of on-ground practice and coarse education, she aims to make a positive difference regarding information accuracy.
The recognition she has earned includes a United Nations and TEDx speaker, 133 women who can change the world in 2023, and 30 under 30 Ireland. Her main focus is to harnessWebDriver support social justice initiatives that provide equal opportunities in accessing information for people and the planet.
