Carla Briceno Elevates Women in the Tech World

Carla Briceno, CEO, and cofounder of Bixal are on the list of winners of the prestigious 2024 FORUM IMPACT Industry Lifetime Achievement Award. This means that out of the over 300 nominated leaders chosen by their peers, she was chosen for her exemplary work, especially in technology and consulting field, especially in federal health and defense. Carla will address her story and the matter of diversity at the Leading for IMPACT Women in Leadership Conference on October 17.

In the case at Bixal, the actions of Briceno as head of the company have been instrumental in promoting diversity and inclusion in the company. Under her guidance, 63. Currently, 8% of the Bixal team comprises female employees; 58. 7% in leadership roles. Bixal, for instance, has expanded over the last five years, opening four offices outside the US and has tripled its revenues growth at 758%. Carla has been special in the company because she went a long way in ensuring that women, especially in the fields of technology, are mentored and that voices in the industry are encouraged, hence making the company what it is today.

Carla got her call for service during her volunteer stint as a member of the Peace Corps in Guatemala. She founded Bixal together with her husband in 2008 to manage and innovation of federal agencies. Since then, Carla goes on to build a great team that delivers brilliant solutions that make positive affects for many communities across the globe.
