Jen Easterly Pioneering Innovation in Cyber Defense!
Jen Easterly is steering the future of cybersecurity at the top cyber defense agency in the United States, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). She is not new to the high-risk security as earlier she was responsible for Firm Resilience and Cybersecurity Fusion Center at Morgan Stanley. With experience in both the public and private sector, Easterly is a perfect example of how women are now taking up key tasks of ensuring that the nation’s digital structure is secure.
More than two decades in the US Army Intelligence and Cyber operations before beginning a career in the corporate world. Here, military experience comprises Haiti, the Balkans, Iraq, and Afghanistan. She also co-founded the U.S. Army’s first cyber operations battalion to help create United States Cyber Command. Other notable individuals present were Paul Nakasone, essential for the United States defense mechanisms.
Easterly is not only one of the most important professionals in the cybersecurity industry but also an inspiring example of a woman in a rather male-dominated industry.
