Pioneering Change in Tech by Angelina Aziz
Angelina Aziz is doing just that; a 22-year-old software engineer hailing from Luton, UK. As speaking to disadvantaged students to prepare them for university interviews as the founder of Auralyze AI is, Angelina has moved to alter the face of the technological world. Chugging along with real admission questions at its very heart, Auralyze AI is effectively raising the accessibility of higher learning.
Being a woman and, more so, a South Asian woman in an industry that is dominated by men is not easy, but Angelina is a great example of the change that is coming. She says that the industry has a lot of men and she does not see women like her in any firm where she has worked. However, she says she will continue to motivate the few women who undertake tech courses. She provides solid reasons for a high work-life balance and a plethora of options this field provides as opposed to health care or pharma.
The show is not just about Angelina’s path to success, or fame for that matter. It is about persuading other women from South Asia to practice such occupation, which is still considered being reserved only for males. In contrast to many other families in South Asia who might encourage their daughters to follow a biomedical path, Angelina’s parents respected her choice of STEM. Her story shows how parents contribute towards the future of women in technology with encouragement.
